We arrived in Edinburgh after taking the 6 hour (including the 23 minute delay to get a broken down truck off the tracks) train ride from London.
We decided to stroll along the Royal Mile. Here are a few of the sites.



We stopped along the way to eat at the Haggis Box. We had vegetarian haggis, tatties, and neeps. Tatties = mashed potatoes. Neeps = mashed turnips. It was delicious.

Holyrood Palace was closed because His Grace The Lord High Commissioner of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland was in residence.


Arthur’s Seat. A great place to hike. We aren’t sure if we are going to have time to hike here.


A quiet garden off the main road.
