Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, Montana

The Battle of Little Bighorn is an infamous battle between several Native American tribes and the U.S. Army 7th Cavalry regiment, led by George A. Custer. The National Monument covers around 765 acres. It includes the area where the battle was held. You will see many markers showing where warriors of both sides fell. Visiting this site is an emotional experience.

If you take the drive from the main battlefield to the edge of the park you cross through the Crow Indian reservation. It’s here that you may be fortunate enough to see wild horses running and playing. Seeing these wild horses run free as they are intended was a delightful experience. As you will see in the video, these horses know who’s boss!

Until next time…
