New York, US – Robert H. Treman State Park

This state park, located just a few miles outside of Ithaca, New York, and just down the road from our RV park, is one of the prettiest we’ve visited.

We decided to take a hike one afternoon and had no idea what we were about to see. The trail ran along the Enfield Gorge, which has 12 waterfalls.

Here are a few highlights of the hike.

Lucifer Falls is a magnificent 115 foot waterfall. Notice the walking trail near the top.

There are steps everywhere

Some are a bit challenging, but we were up to the task.

Geology always pleases us. Notice the red leaves. The fall colors were just arriving.

A beautiful passage way through the rocks. Notice the arched walkway up ahead.

More steps. And waterfalls.

Until next time.

  1. Thank you for this lovely visit to Treman State Park. My family lives nearby, but I rarely take time to hike there. I think someone told me that some of those stairs and paths were created during the Great Depression when people needed jobs/employment…
