Winter Weather

We are visiting family in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

At 7000 feet elevation Santa Fe experiences winter weather.  Although last winter was mild here, this winter is not.

We’ve been frozen in Santa Fe for a couple of weeks now. By frozen, I mean below freezing and sometimes well below freezing.

It has snowed on several occasions. Here’s an example:

Today the sun is out, and although pretty, it is still cold here.

The surrounding mountains are covered in snow.

If we can melt the snow and ice off the top of our slide outs, we are on to hopefully warmer Alamogordo!

We learned a lot of lessons about RV-ing in freezing weather. The most important lesson that we intend to follow is, “Don’t travel to a place that forecasts freezing weather!”

Later.
