If you are ever in Eureka Springs, Arkansas for a few days, you may want to take a side trip to Golden, Missouri. It’s about 15 miles north and is the home of the Golden Pioneer Museum. It is open from mid April to the end of October (and it’s free to tour).
We got there just before it was about to close for the season. The museum is a collection of collections. It started with one man who had collected various glassware, minerals, and Native American artifacts. Several other people then donated their variety of collections.

There is so much to see that you could visit multiple times and still never see it all. The biggest collections were of glassware. If you have any interest at all in glassware this is a must see destination.

Until next time.
