Pinnacle Mountain – Rock Valley Trail

We walked the Rock Valley Trail in Little Rock recently.

The trail begins at the Visitor’s Center. This green pond is at the start of the trail. They have paddle boats for rent if you want to get on the pond.
The trail is wide and flat at the start, but gets rocky, narrow, and undulating shortly thereafter.
At one point next to the trail there is an old homestead. When the homeowner abandoned the property they left a few items behind. There was a old rusted out Chevrolet. You can see an old car horn and some of the trim work looked almost new.
This greenish blob is another item we found next to the trail. It had an almost metallic glitter when the sun hit it. We are still investigating what this is.
This trail looks down on the Arkansas River.
Pinnacle Mountain stands nearby.
If you are in Little Rock and looking for a nice fall hike, we highly recommend the Rock Valley Trail.

Until next time.
