Columbus, New Mexico Sunset

Recently we visited Pancho Villa State Park in Columbus, New Mexico. This park is very close to the Mexican border and about 30 miles from Interstate 10. The landscape was quite barren with mostly sand and cactus. As we walked around the park at dusk we received a treat of a stunning sunset. However, sometimes the best part of sunset comes after the sun has gone down below the horizon.

Another beautiful sunset in southern New Mexico. This bench is perfectly perched on the top of the highest point in Pancho Villa State Park.
Look closely and you can see our Grand Design Solitude RV in this photograph. Will loves the wide open spaces, but only if there are mountains nearby.
Going…
Going…
Gone. We could have walked away, but…
Suddenly, there’s a hint of the real show to come.
For the next few minutes we sat captivated by the spell binding show that followed.
So much variation!

Until next time..
