Pima Air & Space Museum – The B-17

Here’s a photo of a young B-17 pilot from World War II. His name is Richard B. Bushong. He served from WWII through Vietnam. He flew 28 bombing missions into Germany.

Here he is today, a very young almost 97 years of age, sharing stories of some of his bombing missions into Germany during the Second World War.

Spellbinding. He is a great story teller and the kids of all ages standing around couldn’t hear enough of them.

Here he is autographing his book that describes his entire Air Force career.

He volunteers his time at the B-17;Flying Fortress Museum at Pima Airforce Museum.

Here’s the book. I had to have one. I recommend it.

Until next time.
