From the web:
The Orpheum Circuit was a chain of vaudeville and movie theaters. It was founded in 1886, and operated through 1927 when it was merged into the Keith-Albee-Orpheum corporation, ultimately becoming part of the Radio-Keith-Orpheum (RKO) corporation.
Several months ago we decided to go see the latest “Star Wars” movie at one of these old theaters.

The lobby of the theater was still ornately decorated.

The inside of the theater still had much of its original decor. It was in need of a little TLC.

The seats were reasonably comfortable but certainly not like the recliners you get in newer theaters.

More of the interior.

Artwork in the theater.

Until next time.
