Carter Cave is not the biggest in size or attendance but is fascinating just the same.

Our kind of entrance to a cave. Note the large tour group. We received a personalized tour.

Excellent use of lighting.

More lighting.

There were some bats hanging around.

A swim up entrance to a section of the cave.

Not a great place for tall folks.

And the view outside is fantastic as well.

Until next time.
Thank you for this post. I am very much enjoying these glimpses into caverns around the USA. And you even saw bats. Hurrah! We have had a big die-off of bats in New England in recent years… and they do all sorts of vital things like pollinate plants, eat mosquitos, etc. (Here’s what I just found online: “A single bat can eat up to 1,200 mosquito-sized insects every hour, and each bat usually eats 6,000 to 8,000 insects each night. Their appetite for mosquitoes certainly makes a backyard more comfortable.”
