Our stay at Camping la Luciolle was an interesting one.
First of all, the proprietors spoke about as much English as we spoke French – and that is not a good thing. Usually sufficient waving of hands and a few known words will enhance understanding, but not this time. There are translation tools available through apps and the web, but we were not prepared for this.
Turns out we needed cash or a debit card to pay. Our debit card wouldn’t work with their machine. Not a happy moment.
Oh, have I mentioned that we (Will) mistakenly made a reservation at another RV Park with the same name but far, far away? I called the other park to cancel. They spoke wonderful English and they took credit cards.

Well, we visited an ATM at a bank in Rimouski and things worked out.
The park was quite nice and close to the beach. Here’s a view down the path from the RV Park to the St. Lawrence River.

There is a nice boardwalk along the beach. Note the shops and cafes on the left. That’s a Catholic Church on the right.

Here’s a close up of the church.

An array of sculptures appear along the boardwalk.

Another work of art.

This home was built with a view of the river. We enjoy looking at modern style homes. There were several in this area.

What do they call those mostly upright pianos that are placed in shopping malls for anyone to play? This beach offered a piano as well.
Denise plays a tune for sculpture witnesses.

Until next time.
