We stayed near beautiful Homer, Alaska. Homer is a small city of about 5,000 located on the Kachemak Bay on the Kenai Peninsula. It is known for halibut fishing and being home to the singer Jewel.

The views across the water were beautiful. On a clear day, the beauty of this state cannot be matched.

We stayed outside of Homer at Anchor Point. The park was close to the bay and had a lovely view of a marsh.

The beach was close to the park. On a clear day you could see the mountains across the water. Bald eagles were a dime a dozen on this beach. We saw at least 20 eagles within a short period of time.

Over at Homer, a pleasant but cool and cloudy boardwalk.

Poetry along the way.

A couple of posing and photogenic couples at the local winery.

One last look at this beautiful place.

Until the next time…
