Hyder, Alaska lives just a few steps west of the Canadian border..
This area offers bear viewing when the salmon are running.
At other times, the views are lovely.
A small lake on the side of the trail.
And a small waterfall.
Meanwhile just down this dirt road with precipitous drop offs…
… is the Salmon Glacier.
Oh, they sell excellent fudge in Hyder (we are told.)
