April, 2018 – Missoula , Montana and Our One Year Anniversary

Will wanted to visit Missoula Montana ever since he took up bicycle touring many years ago. We decided to stop here on our long journey.

Missoula is the home of an organization that offers formal bicycle tours around the U.S. Many years ago Will met two of the founders of the organization. They had traveled by bicycle from Anchorage Alaska to the southern tip of South America. National Geographic published their story at that time. Will visited their headquarters.

A very creative use of bicycle handle bars as door knobs.

While we were in Missoula we celebrated our one year anniversary of life in the RV. It has been a wonderful experience.

About 50 miles from Missoula in Moiese Montana is the National Bison Range. It is one of the oldest wildlife refuges in the United States and was established over 100 years ago. It has between 350 and 500 bison.

The view on our drive to The National Bison Range.

We saw several small herds of 5 to 10 bison.

Until next time.
