Chesterfield, Idaho was established by Mormon settlers in 1881.
Now it is a well preserved ghost town located in southeast Idaho along the Oregon Trail. When the railroad was built further south the population began to decline. The town was almost deserted by the 1930s and the last business closed in the 1960s.
This house looks almost move-in ready.

The mercantile.

It was a quiet day in town and the only sound was of this lonely, slow moving, and squeaky windmill.
